More great singing last week and some really good progress too. This coming week we will continue learning Shaftesbury Delights (held over from last time), polish Our Choir, Say Say Yes and Don’t Worry Be Happy [see STOP PRESS below] and have a look at Go Placidly and That Lonesome Road together with Balanced Be the Way and Rongo Mau as warm-ups. You won’t need the words for Balanced be the Way or Rongo Mau, Go Placidly and That Lonesome Road are attached while the words of the others have been attached over the last few weeks.  Please print them out yourselves if you possibly can.

STOP PRESS

There is a wonderfully life-affirming version of Don’t Worry Be Happy on Youtube.  Find it at: www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWXUWepSak4   You’re in for a real treat.  The melody and most of the accompaniment is what is known as penatatonic.  For a novel take on this (by Bobby McFerrin who wrote the song) click on www.youtube.com/watch?v=ne6tB2KiZuk  Thanks Elinor (tenor) for the link.
