20 JULY 2017

Dear All,

What a great session last night.  The singing sounded really good, truly wonderful at times – all we need now is an audience to appreciate it / us!

THIS SUNDAY- CONCERT AT ST JAMES 3PM

Please make sure you are in your seats in the nave by 2.45 at the latest so that we can make a prompt start.  I will make some reserved row signs.  You know where you are sitting, you know where you are standing, you know how to “process” between one place and the other (“others” actually – don’t forget Alleluia) – it would be lovely if these practicalities looked totally professional!  And don’t forget to switch mobiles off and to leave your handbags, water bottles, iron lungs or whatever in the pews.  One discreet red file with the songs in the correct order is all that you will need – plus those all-important train whistles of course.

We will go straight from Alleluia to afternoon tea but let the audience get their refreshments first.  It’s a hard life.
