What a week we have had with two worthwhile and excellent performances – the Abbey opening ceremony last Saturday morning and the Melodies Remembered group on Thursday afternoon. Photos from both attached. Marvellous. To those of you who took part, thankyou one and all, and don’t forget there is a crème egg for the first correct answer to my question “What do the Cliff Richard film “Summer Holiday” and the first New York stage production of “The Sound of Music” have in common?”
We made a start on Summer is a-comin’ in last time which we will continue with this coming week along with If there is to be peace, Forever Young, Kyrie, Morning Has Come, Senzeni Na and To Walk Along This Shore + We Got All the Love and Up Above My Head as warm-ups. Words attached where needed. Please print them out yourselves if you can and maybe a spare copy to pass onto the needy!
Finally, and very reluctantly, don’t forget that we have had to raise our fees to £4 from this coming week onwards.
